WOW!!! This has got to be the greatest circus film I've ever seen!

Here is the 1953, Soviet film, Arena of the Brave.
The film shows a circus performance in which young, Soviet circus masters take part. There's a huge cast of highly skilled artists featuring acrobats, aerialists, clowns, cyclists, dancers, equilibrists, jugglers and wire walkers. You've probably seen some (if not all) of the acts before on separate videos but it's just brilliant to watch the whole thing in one sitting. Some names of performers to tempt you with: Oleg Popov; Alexander and Violetta Kiss; Eduard Sereda; Boris Vyatkin; Khosrov Abdullaev; Yuri Shubin; Nina Shubina; Mikhail Nikolaev. There are also some animal acts and although the whole film is in Russian, there are subtitles available, though it is mainly a very visual film.
