Here’s some great video footage of a German, Gentleman Juggler called Fred Ray. He was juggling at an experimental rock band’s concert in 1972. I’ve since taken all the bits that Fred performed in and edited them together into this short video. Very little is known about Fred and to my knowledge, this is the only known video of him.
A huge thanks goes to the juggling historian, David Cain, for sending me the photos of Fred Ray and allowing me to add them here. It’s not the best juggling you’ll have ever seen but I really like the video as we get some nice close-up shots of his face and we can see he’s having fun. Until the end perhaps, when he looks a bit tired and frustrated, though he was 67 years old at this event. It certainly looked like a strange gig to perform at. Enjoy!
