Don Philips: Juggler and Unicyclist 1952

I've discovered a fabulous video of Don Philips, performing on the Super Circus TV series in the 1950s. I've put the video onto my own YouTube channel, just in case it disappears from YouTube. This is truly wonderful footage and is to my knowledge, the only video of this performer that is in the public domain. You can read more information in the description I've written on my YouTube channel.

Don performs lots of skills here in this 7-minute act. In addition to unicycling throughout on a small, raised, circular platform, we see Don: skipping; manipulating and spinning soccer balls; idling one-footed while juggling 4 rings and spinning a 5th ring around his ankle; bouncing a soccer ball on his head; spinning a soccer ball on a dagger mouth stick; bending down and picking up 3 hats from the floor before manipulating them; juggling 3 clubs. Don's finale is spinning three balls held on a mouth stick plus one ball on each hand. The person assisting Don is his mother, Bonnie Bonta. It really is a fabulous act and a great find for me!
Soon after I posted this video, I received a message from Diana Philips, Don's daughter. She was delighted to see the video having never seen it before and kindly shared some photos with me.

Enjoy!
